What formats does Orzeszek Timer accept for the time
Orzeszek Timer accepts a number of formats for specifying the time to count down:
- 5 – 5 minutes
- 2.5 – 2 minutes 30 seconds
- 25s – 25 seconds
- 3m 25s – 3 minutes 25 seconds
- 5h 3m 25s – 5 hours 3 minutes 25 seconds
- 1d 5h 3m 25s – 1 day 5 hours 3 minutes 25 seconds
- 1.05:03:25 – 1 day 5 hours 3 minutes 25 seconds
- 1 5 3 25 – 1 day 5 hours 3 minutes 25 seconds
- 01/01/2011 – until midnight on 1 January 2011
- 01/01/2011 5:00 PM – until 5:00 pm on 1 January 2011
It’s designed to be flexible in the formats that it accepts, so if you’re not sure whether it’ll accept a different format, just try it.
Does Orzeszek Timer support command line arguments?
Yes. You can specify the time to count down as a command line argument in any of the formats supported by the user interface. For example, "Orzeszek Timer.exe" 15 minutes 25 seconds.
Adding the -closeWhenDone command line argument automatically closes Orzeszek Timer when the timer expires.
Can I create a shortcut to time a certain time?
Yes. You can create a shortcut that points to Orzeszek Timer.exe and specifies the time to count down as a command line argument in any of the formats supported by the user interface. For example, "Orzeszek Timer.exe" 5 minutes:
To create a new shortcut, right click Orzeszek Timer.exe and select Create shortcut. Right click on the newly created shortcut and select Properties. Select the Shortcut tab and put the time to count down at the end of the text in the Target text box, after the quotation mark if there is one.
Can I change the notification sound?
Yes. You can add custom .wav files to the Sounds folder. You can then select them as the alarm sound by selecting the corresponding option from the right-click menu. Only .wav files are supported. If you want to use a file in .mp3, or in some other format, you have to convert it to .wav first.
Can I loop the notification sound?
Yes. You can loop the notification sound by checking the Loop notification sound option in the Options menu.
Can I loop the timer?
Yes. You can loop the timer by checking the Loop timer option in the Options menu.
Can I automatically close Orzeszek Timer when the timer expires?
Yes. You can automatically close Orzeszek Timer when the timer expires by checking the Close when done option in the Options menu.
You can also run Orzeszek Timer with the -closeWhenDone command line argument.
Can I start Orzeszek Timer minimized from the command line?
Yes. You can run Orzeszek Timer with the -startMinimized command line argument.
What is the portable version for?
You can copy the portable version to a USB thumb drive or other device and use the app on multiple computers. When using the portable version, your settings are saved to and read from a file in the same location as the app so that they travel with the app to different computers.
What are the system requirements?
You must have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installed to use Orzeszek Timer.
